Board of Directors
Would you like to join our Board of Directors? Theatre in the Round Players (TRP) is looking for people who are interested in the arts, strategically minded and invested in their community.
We are an active, working Board with members from all areas of the arts, as well as many levels of the Twin Cities business community. Our focus is to help this nationally recognized arena theater continue to grow.
Our Board Members can take part in a number of active committees such as Strategic Planning, Season Planning, IDEAA, Marketing and other supporting committees.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
A Board Member can average 10-12 hours of volunteer commitment a month, attending monthly Board meetings (3rd Tuesday at 7pm), serving as a Board Member on Duty (BMOD) for individual TRP productions, as well as committee involvement.
Complete a short application form below and our Executive Director will reach out to meet and discuss next steps.
IDEAA Committee
The Inclusive, Diversity, Equity, Accessibility & Accountability (IDEAA) committee meets monthly to collaborate, advise, and assist on long term goals and actions of Theatre in the Round as they pertain to inclusion, diversity, equity, accountability & access, making recommendations to the board for review and approval as needed. The committee works with other committees such as Artist Council and Strategic Planning to promote IDEAA in all aspects of the theater’s operations and programming, with a particular focus on volunteer opportunities, production cast/crew, audience and board membership. The committee recommends and occasionally provides training and education opportunities on IDEAA for board, committees, volunteers, and others.
Prospective Members can indicate their interest by emailing the Executive Director or chair of the committee, or by filling out an optional interest form below.
Access Advisory Council
RECRUITING NOW: The Access Advisory Council (AAC) is a collection of individuals with lived experience of disability and/or experience creating, assessing or implementing access services and technology. The AAC meets quarterly to provide consultation about accessibility needs, goals, and implementation of services. The council meets over Zoom and in-person when needed. Accommodations are provided, depending on the needs of the individual members.
Prospective Members can indicate their interest by emailing the Executive Director at larisa@theatreintheround.org.
Artist Council
The Artist Council is a group of dedicated and motivated artists at TRP who will be ambassadors for the theatre in the larger community. The Council will help conceive and create new programming at TRP including but not limited to: new work, digital programming, educational opportunities, and more!
The Artist Council will help foster successful partnerships and build lasting relationships with other Twin Cities artists and theatre organizations. The council will provide artists and community members with a safe and accessible pathway to the board for concerns or experiences shared at the theatre. The Artist Council will work closely with existing Season Planning and Community Engagement committees to achieve shared goals of expanded programming, increased diversity among our community and overall maximizing artist and audience experience at TRP.
We strive for the Artist Council to have intersectional representation including but not limited to actors, directors, designers, writer, producer and additional artistic forms, and individuals from multiple lived experiences.
Applications for Artist Council are currently closed. Check back or consider other committee involvement.
